Senior Managers

Katina R. Beard, MSPH

Chief Executive Officer

Katina began her career at Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center in 1996.  Since this time, she has held successive roles as interim CEO and now CEO.  She earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration and Planning from Tennessee State University her Masters of Science in Public Health from Meharry Medical College.

In addition to overseeing strategy and operations at Matthew Walker, Katina also sits on a number of advisory boards including the American Cancer Society Nashville Advisory Board, Safety Net Consortium of Middle Tennessee and the Tennessee Primary Care Association Governing Board.

In her free time, Katina enjoys volunteering with her church, serving as a Girl Scout leader and hanging out with her husband and two children.

Robin Dean

Director of Human Resources

Robin joined Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center in 2007 after a career in the private sector with AETNA overseeing quality improvement.  She became Director of Human Resources at Matthew Walker in 2009.  Robin holds a BS in mass communications from Middle Tennessee State University and an MS in healthcare administration from University of Saint Francis in Joliet, IL.

Tera Hambrick, JD

General Counsel & Director of Regulatory Affairs

Tera is responsible for oversight of general corporate and healthcare compliance, The Joint Commission accreditation, and regulatory matters. Prior to joining Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center, she practiced privately as an attorney with the law firm of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, LLP. Tera received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Psychology from Fisk University. She later obtained her Juris Doctorate from Vanderbilt University Law School.

In addition to her work with Matthew Walker, Tera has served on the boards of multiple non-profit organizations, including Entrepreneur Guidance and Training, Inc. (“EGT”), a non-profit corporation that provides classroom instruction, consultation, and micro-loans to low and moderate income individuals pursuing entrepreneurship and job placement assistance. She currently serves as a member of the advisory council and development committee for the Tennessee Justice Center, a non-profit law firm providing free legal services to vulnerable persons to ensure Tennessee families have access to the health care they need.

Tera enjoys mentoring inner-city high school students regarding higher education and career options as well as law school students and newly practicing attorneys.

Robyn Mays, DDS

Dental Director

Dr. Mays holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Xavier University of Louisiana and a DDS degree from Meharry Medical College. Dr. Mays discovered her true passion – serving the underserved and under insured – while serving as Dental Director at Neighborhood Health Care, Inc. in Ohio. She joined Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center to continue this passion.

Dr. Mays is a member of the National Dental Association. She enjoys being able to positively impact the lives of others through service inside and outside of the Matthew Walker Dental Clinic. In her leisure time, Dr. Mays likes staying physically active, time outdoors, music and spending time with her husband and two children.

Tiffany Pack, MPH

Director of Development

Tiffany is responsible for development strategy and fundraising at Matthew Walker. She has more than 20 years of experience in health and wellness, marketing and healthcare consumer engagement. She discovered her passion for public health while part of a wellness organization in 2005. Tiffany is the co-founder of and continues to run a preventive care clinic in San Eduardo, Ecuador.

Tiffany holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Master of public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. When she is not working, Tiffany enjoys biking, rock climbing, cooking for friends and hanging out with her dogs.

Doug Weaver

Chief Financial Officer

Doug Weaver has over 20 years of experience in financial management, ranging from manufacturing to healthcare in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. Doug joined Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center in 2013 and was a 2016 CFO of the year finalist for the Center for Nonprofit Management’s Salute to Excellence awards. Doug has real passion for excellence in financial management and transparency and for making financial data accessible and easy to understand for all stakeholders.

Doug is a proud alumnus of The University of Tennessee at Knoxville where he received a BS in accounting.

Ida Michele Williams, MD

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Williams has been with Matthew Walker, first as a pediatrician and later as the organization’s medical director, since 2002. She received her BS in mathematics from Vanderbilt University and her MD from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine where she completed her residency in pediatrics. Dr. Williams continues to provide care for Matthew Walker patients in addition to her duties as CMO.

When she isn’t caring for patients and overseeing clinical operations, Dr. Williams enjoys spending time with her two children and husband along with gardening, coaching basketball and cooking.
