Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center has an exciting opportunity available for a skilled, resourceful and motivated individual who would like to make a difference in the lives of others in helping a non-for-profit organization fulfill its mission to provide quality health care. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Licensed Unarmed Security Guard/Officer  will be responsible for the following, to include but not limited to: 

  • Proactively and promptly ensuring safety and security of the Nashville facility, staff and patients to prevent or reduce damage or harm
  • Makes hourly rounds throughout the facility to ensure building and grounds security; immediately reports any breaches or potential risk
  • Actively engages with guest that appear suspicious and/or warrants discussion to resolve disputes or manage other potential risk
  • Lock all patient/employee entrances/exits at appropriate times or when necessary for safety and security purposes
  • Report any cars left in the parking lot after normal business hours to the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department
  • Follows proper procedure for opening the facility and reporting any security breaches or potential risk
  • Ensures proper procedure for securing the facility afterhours, ensuring all visitors and staff have exited the facility and all doors are securely locked.
  • Monitor patient and staff vehicles to ensure security while on Center property; immediately reports any incidents of theft or damage
  • Provide escort for employees/patients/visitors as requested
  • Investigate and document reports of all cases involving incidents of theft, damage to property, violence, etc.
  • Responds promptly to all emergency codes; participate and assist in all fire and emergency evacuations of the Center

The Licensed Unarmed Security Guard/Officer   must possess the ability to work efficiently and effectively with all levels of the organization, particularly patients from varying economic backgrounds.  The individual must have documented evidence of the ability to advise, consult and counsel with patients to resolve disputes or minimize potential security risks. 

High School diploma, or equivalent, required.  Current State of Tennessee License by the Private Protective Services for an Unarmed Security Guard/Officer.  Applicant is responsible for maintaining current licensure throughout duration of employment.   Experience in Law Enforcement is preferred.

Registered Dietician (Nashville, TN)

Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center (MWCHC) has an exciting opportunity available for a skilled, resourceful and motivated individual who would like to make a difference in the lives of others in helping a non-for-profit organization fulfill its mission to provide quality health care. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the Registered Dietician (RD) will be responsible for educating, monitoring and advising MWCHC patients and helping improve their quality of life through healthy eating habits at our Nashville, Smyrna and Clarksville, TN clinical sites. Additional responsibilities include, but; are not limited to:

• Collaborate with providers to identify and connect with patients in need of nutrition counseling.
• Assess the dietary and health needs of patients, establishes treatment plans, and communicates with patients regarding program compliance and its importance in disease prevention.
• Meet directly with patients to identify dietary/nutritional educational needs; provide individual instruction, utilize informational handouts/booklets, or refer to community resources as needed.
• Identify ways to improve dietary/nutritional care of patients, and make recommendations to the Medical Director and P&T Committee;
• Participate in various patient program committees;
• Performs research and recommends ways to expand and improve nutrition programs offered to MWCHC patients
• Participates in quality improvement of the program in conjunction with other services offered.

The Registered Dietician must be patient focused with the ability to relay and discuss dietary and nutrition information with diverse patients in a sensitive and knowledgeable manner. Additionally, possess excellent analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills with an ability to work efficiently and effectively with all levels of the organization.

Bachelor’s degree from an approved education program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) and licensed in the state of Tennessee is required. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Finance Manager (FM) will be responsible for working within the state and federal statutes regarding financial management and assure compliance with Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center (MWCHC) policies and procedures. Additional
responsibilities include, but; are not limited to:

 Provide supervision and development of the Accountant and Purchasing Clerk staff.
 Assist CFO with preparation of the annual budget
 Assist the CFO with the preparation and coordination of all state and federal required audits (ie, HRSA, 401k, Workers Compensation, etc.)
 Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the organization
 Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual reporting
 Manage all aspects of the payroll system including review and approve the processing of bi-weekly payroll for all employees to ensure timely and accurate submissions; addresses inquiries regarding payroll, timekeeping, garnishments, deductions, and PTO; and employee benefits within the payroll system.
 Establish and maintain cash controls for all sites
 Assist in developing grant related and organizational budgets
 Establish processes to control expenses, cash flow, and income
 Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met

Outreach & Enrollment Specialist (Clarksville, TN)

  • Provide structured patient education on health coverage, engage in follow-up conversations and offer renewal assistance for enrolled individuals.
  • Distribute outreach materials to patients, community members, partner organizations and businesses to build coverage option awareness.

  • Develop, discover and attend community events in order to promote coverage options and the mission and services of the organization.
  • Collaborate with various local organizations to build awareness of coverage options, spur enrollment and build referral linkages.
