Ida Michele Williams, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Williams is both a pediatrician and our Chief Medical Officer. In addition to her responsibilities for clinical oversight, Dr. Williams continues to see patients in our clinics as she has since 2002. When she isn’t caring for patients and overseeing clinical operations, Dr. Williams enjoys spending time with her two children and husband along with gardening, coaching basketball and cooking.
Phillip Bourne, MD
Dr. Bourne is an obstetrician-gynecologist in Nashville, Tennessee and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Centennial Medical Center and Nashville General Hospital at Meharry. He received his medical degree from Meharry Medical College and has been in practice for more than 40 years. Dr. Bourne sees patients at Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center as part of our partnership with Meharry Medical College.
Lindsey Carlson, NP-C
Lindsay is a family nurse practitioner who received her Master of Science degree in nursing from Duke University in 2016. She came to Matthew Walker’s Clarksville clinic in 2017. Prior to becoming a family nurse practitioner, Lindsey was a registered nurse in the Army for 9 years. In her free time, Lindsey enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Nitara Carswell, MD
Dr. Carswell is a practicing Internist at Matthew Walker and cares for patients in our Nashville and Smyrna clinics. She has been in practice for over 6 years after having completed her medical degree at Meharry Medical College.
Shaniqua Clark, FNP
Shaniqua is a family nurse practitioner who works with patients in our Nashville clinic. She completed her Master of Science degree in nursing (MSN) at Tennessee State University and has been in practice for over 5 years.
Anthony Disher, MD
Dr. Disher is a Radiologist with more than 30 years of diverse experience, especially in diagnostic radiology. He graduated with honors from Meharry Medical College School of Medicine in 1984. Dr. Disher affiliates with many hospitals including Metro Nashville General Hospital, Vanderbilt University Hospital, and cooperates with other doctors and specialists in many medical groups including Meharry Medical College, Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center, Inc.
Hubert Gaskin III, MD
Dr. Gaskin graduated from the Meharry Medical College School of Medicine and has been practicing internal medicine for more than 30 years. Dr. Gaskin is affiliated with Nashville General Hospital at Meharry, Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital, TriStar Centennial Medical Center and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. In his free time, Dr. Gaskin enjoys golfing, reading, traveling and watching movies.
Ashley Hicks, MD
Dr. Hicks specializes in Family Medicine at our Nashville clinic. Dr. Hicks graduated from Meharry Medical College and has been in practice for 5 years and is affiliated with Nashville General Hospital at Meharry, Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital, TriStar Centennial Medical Center and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Hicks sees patients at Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center as part of our partnership with Meharry Medical College.
Shondell Hickson, DNP, APN, ACNS-BC, FNP-BC
Dr. Hickson cares for patients in the Matthew Walker Clarksville clinic. She received her Doctorate degree in nursing from Murray State University and is also an associate professor in the nursing department at Austin Peay State University. Dr. Hickson has been in practice for over 8 years and focuses on chronic illness management in Diabetes and Hypertension.
Pamela Jones, FNP
Pamela has been in nursing for 10 years, initially as a public health nurse. She completed her Master of Science degree in nursing (MSN) at Tennessee State University in 2013. Pamela is also a certified lactation counselor.
Keith Junior, MD
Dr. Junior is an internist in Nashville, Tennessee and is affiliated with TriStar Centennial Medical Center and St Thomas Midtown Hospital and Centennial Medical Center. He received his medical degree from Meharry Medical College and has been in practice for more than 20 years.
Lena McMillan, MSN, WHNP, AGPCNP
Lena is a nurse practitioner with certifications in women’s health and adult-gerontology primary care and sees patients at both our Smyrna and Nashville health centers. She is a graduate of the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. Lena came to Matthew Walker because she has a passion for service, especially for those who are disadvantaged and lack routine health care. She also appreciates the ability to provide care for the entire person, utilizing both of her specialty certifications. Lena loves serving in ministry, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
Damaris Olagundoye, MD
Dr. Olagundoye (Dr. O) is an obstetrician-gynecologist in our Smyrna clinic who completed her medical degree and residency at Meharry Medical College. Dr. O has been practicing for more than 12 years and has been practicing at Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center for over 7 years. She enjoys working at Matthew Walker because it allows her a unique opportunity to serve a community that is disproportionately affected by health disparities. In this role, she sees that we can truly make a difference, one patient at a time. Dr. O is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Gabriele Roberts, FNP
Gabriele is a family nurse practitioner in our Clarksville clinic. She has been a nurse for more than 20 years and attended Austin Peay State University. When she isn’t caring for patients, Gabriele loves reading, traveling and biking and has a special place in her heart for Newfoundland dogs.
Joyce Semenya, MD
Dr Semenya specializes in Family Medicine. She graduated from medical school at The University of Ghana in 1976 and completed her residency at G W Hubbard Hospital Meharry College. She has been practicing for more than 30 years. Dr. Semenya is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including St. Thomas Midtown Hospital and Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Vernita Tucker, MD
Dr. Tucker is an obstetrics & gynecology doctor who has been practicing medicine for more than 30 years. She is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine and is affiliated with Nashville General Hospital at Meharry, Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital, TriStar Centennial Medical Center and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Tucker sees patients at Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center as part of our partnership with Meharry Medical College.
Robyn Mays, DDS
In addition to her responsibilities as Matthew Walker’s Dental Director. Dr. Mays is a practicing dentist who sees patients in our Nashville clinic. Dr. Mays is a member of the National Dental Association who enjoys being able to positively impact the lives of others through service inside and outside of the Matthew Walker Dental Clinic. In her leisure time, Dr. Mays likes staying physically active, spending time outside, music and spending time with her husband and two children.
Christine Cordell, RDH
Christine is a Registered Dental Hygienist who has been working in our Clarksville clinic for the past five years. She also cares for patients in our Nashville clinic a few days each month. Before expanding her education in dental hygiene, Christine was a dental assistant for 10 years.
Christine is committed to providing excellent care in oral hygiene and educating all her patients with take home advice to keep their smiles healthy. She also has a heart for serving and has participated in mission trips, providing dental services to villagers in Guatemala and Nicaragua. She has two children and enjoys spending time with them, going on family camping trips, bowling, and attending soccer games.
Ugochi Ike, DDS
Dr. Ike is dentist practicing at Matthew Walker’s Clarksville clinic. She received her DDS from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry. Dr. Ike completed her dental residency at Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center and has been practicing dentistry for 6 years.
Megan Wilkey, RDH
Megan has been with Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center since the start of 2016. She completed her dental hygiene program of study at Tennessee State University. Megan is a people person. Her passion for dental hygiene sprang from a desire to connect with people in need and help them build the skills and knowledge necessary to take control of their health along with the recognition of the important link between oral health and systemic health.
Latonia Cox, LPC-MHSP
LaTonia is a Licensed Professional Counselor who completed her degree at Trevecca Nazarene University and her internship at The Refuge Center for Counseling. She has been practicing as a mental health service provider for over 8 years. When she isn’t helping patients, she enjoys genealogy, watching documentaries and crime shows, natural hair care and spending time with friends, family and her Yorke-chi.
Jeremy Lynch, PhD, Psychologist
Dr. Lynch completed his education at Tennessee State University and his residency at University of Memphis-Student Health Center. He has been practicing as a Psychologist for more than 5 years. In his free time, Dr. Lynch is an avid photographer and a big fan of the University of Alabama’s Crimson Tide.
Cynthia Jackson, PhD, Psychologist
Dr. Jackson is a practicing psychologist. She received her Ph.D. from Tennessee State University in 2004. She sees patients at our Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Centers in Nashville, Smyrna, and Clarksville. In her spare time, she enjoys, spending time with family, traveling, and working on community service projects.
Kendall Henry, PharmD
Kendall is a pharmacist in Matthew Walker’s Nashville clinic pharmacy. Kendall received his Doctorate of pharmacy from Belmont University and has been a practicing pharmacist for 5 years. He came to Matthew Walker because he loves being in a role where he can give give back to the community and actually see patients’ progress. When he is not at Matthew Walker, Kendall enjoys quiet time in addition to trying new places to eat and watching sports on TV.
Marcia Wiggan-Campbell, PharmD
Marcia is a pharmacist in our Nashville clinic pharmacy. She has been a pharmacist for more than 19 years and has a special interest in working with diabetic patients and assisting all patients with medication management. When she is not at Matthew Walker, Marcia like traveling, reading and swimming.
