If you’re uninsured, you may qualify to pay a reduced price for some services and treatments at our health centers. The exact amount you pay depends on your income and family size. This is the “Sliding Scale”. To qualify, you must bring in proof of your family’s income.

MATTHEW WALKER COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH CENTER’s primary care providers apply a team approach to medical care.  Our team of providers are made up of Family Practitioners, Internists, Pediatricians, Nurse Practitioners and Physician’s Assistants – medical experts who see you on a regular basis for wellness check-ups and get to know you over a period of several years or even decades.  Our providers treat minor medical problems like colds and the flu and also help patients with chronic, but manageable conditions, such as diabetes and high blood pressure.  We are often the first to notice signs of a more serious illness or condition because we provide continuity of care by seeing patients on a regular basis for many years and noting changes in the patient’s health status from one year to the next. We offer our primary care services at our Nashville, Clarksville, Mufreesboro and Smyrna facilities.

Pediatrics

Primary healthcare is essential in the early stages of life.  Our pediatric team provides medical services to children from the time of delivery until they reach their eighteenth birthday. Our Certified Pediatrician, with the assistance of our well-qualified nursing staff, work together to provide children with a personal healthcare plan. Some of our pediatric services include well-baby checks, immunizations, school physicals and sick visits along with a long list of other infant, child and adolescent primary care services.

Adult Medicine

Our adult medicine team provides primary care for patients who are 18 years and older. Our providers include Internal and Family Medicine Physicians and Nurse Practitioners who work together to provide patients with a personal healthcare plan. Some of our adult medical services include routine physicals, annual exams, health maintenance, sick visits and specialized chronic disease care to name a few.
